Saunas at the Thermal Spa

Cool off in the impressive ice grotto. You can also enjoy peace and relaxation in the winter garden lounge with views of the Swiss mountains.
Ragazer sauna world at the Tamina Therme
The public thermal bath sets new standards in the wellness area with the largest infusion sauna in Switzerland made of Kelo-wood. You'll can also take advantage of a resting house and a natural pond with its own sun deck. Admission to the Tamina Therme is free for hotel guests.
Revision work
Please note that we will be closing the sauna world and the nude area from 3 to 6 February 2025 for revision work. The areas will be open for you again from 7 February.

Do you love silent spaces? Do you like ethereal aromas and moderate, classic spa infusions? The traditional Finnish sauna is the right choice for you.
In the steam bath, the temperatures are between 40 and 60 degrees. Due to the high humidity, the body sweats less, but the immune system is strengthened just as much. The steam bath also promotes blood circulation, purifies and relaxes the muscles.

Prefer to wear swimwear whilst in the sauna? Our textile saunas promote sweating without being naked. This is an ideal choice for sauna beginners.

Bio-textile sauna, Benches made from thermal aspen wood with contrasting light-colored grooves, ceramic shower areas and of course a stunning view of the Alps. Daily infusions and treatments with essential oils and salts selected to suit the season. Location: Tamina Therme

The Sanarium offers a slightly different take on the traditional Finnish sauna. The Sanariam experience sits somewhere between that in a classic hot and dry sauna and the steam baths. Due to the low temperatures, the sanarium is a good choice for beginners visiting our Sauna World.

In the bio-sauna, you protect your circulation and still work up a good sweat. In addition, the medicinal herbs that are used have a positive effect on the body and the psyche.

In the infrared sauna the body is not heated by hot air but by infrared rays. The best results are achieved in around 25 to 30 minutes. The heat penetrates the skin gently, directly into the subcutaneous tissue. This is well-suited for relaxation, detoxification, pain relief, anti-aging and skin rejuvenation.

The heart of the sauna village in the Tamina Therme is the largest infusion sauna in Switzerland, built from Scandinavian Kelo wood. Mood lighting, relaxing music and invigorating scents play together and stimulate all the senses.

A charming, simple wooden building with a unique design that's reminiscent of the nearby Tamina Gorge. Experience the art of perfect infusion. Unforgettable rituals such as "Pirts" and "Banja" around the sauna stove. Dare to walk through the mystical spray of the mist path to cool down afterwards.
